Our Story
As health insurance costs and deductibles rise, a new program is disrupting the way families approach traditional healthcare. Main Street Medical recently opened October 5th, 2020 near Blue Daisy Salon to provide a unique solution called Direct Primary Care (DPC). This monthly membership program bypasses medical insurance with a small monthly fee ($20 for children, $75 for adults) that covers primary care services such as routine and urgent care, annual physical exams, minor procedures, on-site labs, EKG’s and other on-site testing. Any scans, lab work or medications prescribed are billed at the time of service at cost, plus a small administration fee. The DPC model also minimizes wait times and provides up to 45 minutes for a comprehensive visit with Dr. Cynthia Reed, Main Street Medical’s primary physician.
Dr. Reed is a board-certified family medicine physician who is passionate about primary care as a path to keeping families healthy and thriving in the Verrado community. She began her medical career 20 years ago in the U.S Air Force as a Combat Medic after completing studies in Cell Biology at Arizona State University. She was awarded their Health Professions Scholarship, attending Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, where she earned her Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine in 2007. After graduation, Dr. Reed completed her family medicine residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center at Offutt Air Force Base.
“Since leaving active duty, I have specialized in primary care, urgent care, hospice care, and emergency medicine in both rural and urban settings,” Dr. Cynthia Reed said. “I am delighted to help families in Verrado and the city of Buckeye achieve their wellness goals here at Main Street Medical!” she added.
Main Street Medical offers same or next-day acute visits, extended provider visits, 24/7 availability, and enhanced accessibility.
