Did you realize the Jackson Building on Main Street is home to the only private Optometry practice between Verrado and the California border city of Blythe?  Verrado resident Dr. Adam Lee established his second Vision Wellness location on Main Street two and a half years ago in 2017, and recently increased his office hours on Main Street to keep up with demand.

Vision Wellness serves all ages, from infants through seniors, with a singular commitment to excellent patient care. Personalized services include the latest technology for eye exams, prescription eyewear, contact lenses, and after-hours emergency eye care.

“It’s very important to schedule vision exams on a regular basis,” Optometrist Adam Lee said. “We can identify unrelated medical conditions, just by looking into patients’ eyes. “Now I can see patients every weekday on Main Street, with the exception of Thursday,” Dr. Lee said. “We are excited to be adding a new laser treatment for dry eye, a condition which is prevalent in Arizona,” he added.

Dr. Lee earned his undergraduate degree at Kansas State University and went on to graduate with honors from the University of Missouri’s St. Louis College of Optometry. After graduation, he completed his residency at Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital on the Gila River Indian Reservation.

This residency in particular really fostered multi-disciplinary care across specialties and allowed him to form a close relationship with excellent eye surgeons in the Phoenix metro area. Dr. Lee has particular interest in managing glaucoma, uveitis, and complications due to diabetes. In addition, he has become an expert in fitting custom contact lenses including scleral lenses. Vision Wellness focuses on specialized contacts for multi-focal and bi-focal needs. “Thanks to technology advances, we are now able to offer greatly enhanced lenses,” he added. “What’s more, our patients can schedule monthly appointments with our in-house Ophthalmologist for treatment of cataracts and glaucoma.”

Vision Wellness and its staff of four also provide fittings for an impressive selection of designer eyeglasses, including sunglasses from Prada, Michael Kors, Dolce & Gabbana, Oakley, Ray Ban, Jimmy Choo, Carrera, Versace, Vera Bradley and Costa Del Mar.

“My wife Rachel and I are both originally from the Midwest. We moved to Verrado three years ago, and immediately felt at home,” Dr. Lee said. “Rachel and I are grateful to live, work and raise our young family right here in Verrado. For us, it’s a dream come true!”
