Main Street Dental Expands to Keep Verrado Families Smiling
Leave a CommentYou would be hard-pressed to find a dental practice that is more devoted to the community than Main Street Dental in Verrado. Now approaching its tenth anniversary in the Davis Building, Main Street Dental continues to invest in the future, with a newly completed expansion that includes two new patient care rooms and a spacious gaming room for video game buffs with over 1,000 vintage classics, including Pac Man and Super Mario. To keep Main Street Dental’s experience even more inviting, patients receive treatment in chairs with built-in massagers and watch movies on overhead LCD screens.
This family-owned and operated practice was founded on Main Street in 2009 by Dr. Matt Kennedy, who has lived and worked in Verrado for nearly a decade. Main Street Dental’s staff of fifteen are dedicated to making every member of the family feel at home. In addition to pediatric and adult dentistry services, Dr. Kennedy retains in-house specialists including a periodontist, an oral surgeon, endodontist and orthodontist to fulfill every potential dental need.
“With the completion of this expansion, our office and staff is poised to create an even more welcoming, fun experience for patients of all ages,” Kennedy added.
Cosmetic dentistry services, including crowns and veneers, are produced in a local laboratory. What’s more, a high-tech 3-D X-ray machine called a CBCT allows practitioners to evaluate the interior health and anatomy of the tooth to allow more predictable and precise root canals, and gauge the amount of bone available to precisely place implants. Dr. Kennedy also has an oral cancer screening device called a Velscope that uses fluorescent light to illuminate oral tissue to spot cancer that may be forming on the surface or slightly beneath surface tissues during exams.
“My family and I are deeply entrenched in this community, as our four children are in the Verrado school system.” Kennedy said. “Our eldest attends Verrado High School, two are in Verrado Middle School and the youngest is in Verrado Elementary School.”
Beyond their support for local schools and talent events, Dr. Kennedy volunteers as a soccer, baseball and basketball coach. “I intentionally located my practice on Main Street because it allows me to walk to work,” Matt said. “I can literally walk 100 yards to cheer on my kids at swim meets, or be on the soccer field to coach their teams after appointments.”
Proxmity to home and his children’s sports activities were just two of the draws to Main Street. “My philosophy is to simply treat others the way I want to be treated,” Kennedy said. “Our patients are our friends, neighbors and family. My mission is to maintain the continuity and comfort level of a family-owned practice in a hometown environment.”
“I try to be as approachable as possible, so patients can ask questions and be directly involved in their dental health,” Kennedy said. “We continue to evolve this practice, and are grateful for the opportunity to serve this amazing community we call home.”
