When you walk through the doors of Empower Physical Therapy’s newest clinic, you’ll be greeted by practitioners who also call Verrado home. A seasoned physical therapist with over 25 years of experience, Mitas Medrano is a familiar face who will lead Main Street’s new location, as she has lived and raised her family in Verrado for over 14 years.

“We truly feel fortunate to serve the families we reside with every day, from infants to grandparents, “Medrano said. “What’s important is wellness in the long term. We don’t just treat injury or disease. First, we address each patient’s lifestyle, and what matters most to them. Then we develop priorities for posture, injury prevention, and body mechanics.”

Medrano’s passion for physical therapy extends to effective treatment of low back pain, a common ailment that is often the most difficult to understand. As a result, she consistently ranks 60% higher in effectiveness than the national average in Focus on Therapeutic Outcomes (FOTO), a federal mandate that evaluates outpatient clinics relative to clinical expertise.
