Our Story

Anderson Institute of Music and Performing Arts co-founders and Verrado residents Ed and Angela Anderson have won so many prestigious awards, it’s impossible to predict what they have planned for an encore. For starters, this family-owned performing arts studio has won the distinction of “Official Best of Arizona” performing arts instruction four consecutive years in a row from Media World USA.

Ed previously served as Executive Director of the acclaimed Algonquin Arts Theatre in New Jersey, while Angela enjoyed an acting career in Los Angeles including credits on TV shows such as “Boston Legal” and “Seventh Heaven”.

“Ed and I have been living our dream in Verrado since 2008. We feel fortunate to have founded and operate our studio in the community where we are raising our four children. Our gifted dance and music students are taking their talents to the next level, competing in larger venues to gain valuable new experience,” said Angela Anderson, AIM’s chief operating officer.

Students can sign up for recreational classes, or take their stage presence to the next level with dedicated teachers in music, dance and theater throughout the year or during camps that often sell out by popular demand.

“Let the performances speak a thousand words about individual confidence, family unity and a community nurtured,” Ed added.
